The road to Kavarna is, as you all know, hard and tedious. We, the OFFICIAL KAVARNA ROCK FEST RADIO crew, travel safely, but rock'n'roll things start to happen anyway. We pass a truck with a large writing saying 'Materials 3-rd class. Not for use by human beings.' We didn't quite got what it meant, but we suspected the worst.

Our day starts early in the morning. We met some really cool guys like Kraskata and Kuman- the main character in our story. His name will be mentioned a lot in the next days. There were also not so pleasant characters like Cleopatra, the runner of our hotel, which name will remain unnamed. Cleopatra's real name will remain unnamed too. We can only guess if this unshaved lady will try to get into some of our beds later this evening.

Ohhh... One of the stage hands is a handsome, almost naked man in tight swimming shorts. We leave the rest to your rich imagination.

But let us focus on our main subject, the gigs. There was a sudden summer storm two hours before the start and it caused a lot of troubles with electricity and internet facilities. Anyway, the bungee tower is up, tattoo studio- open. The smell of meatballs is everywhere. There's proper merchandise and everything. There a huge cue in front of our mobile studio, mainly artists who triy to hide from the heat, so it's easy to catch them- the mayor Tsonko Tsonev, Simone Simmons, Liv Kristine and Alex Krull, Mike Terrana. It's an endless list. Check out our news section. This first night is dedicated to female fronted bands.

LEAVE'S EYES start at 18:03 in front of a scattered by dedicated audience. Hardcore fans have been crowded at the barrier. They chant and fly flags. Liv is in her classic black and red outfit.
Live LEAVE'S EYES enhance the 'beauty and the beast' style of singing even more than on their records. There were 'My Destiny', 'Take The Devil in Me' and 'Elegy', but they had no time to close the set with 'Outro-Mot Fjerne Land'.

19:16. The Beauty And The Beast Part 2.

EPICA run onstage one by one, every each of them wearing black. Finally Simone hits the stage. She sends shivers and goosebumps to all the male attendants in the audience.

The sound is flawless. We have the chance to hear 'Sensorium', 'Unleashed', The Obssessive Devotion' and 'Sancta Terra'. As we all know our friend and colleague Alexander Boyadjiev is responsible for stage management and he's doing great job!

EPICA succeed to move the crowd. EPICA finish their set with 'Consign To Oblivion'.The night is still young.

DORO hits the stage in 20:40. Blue light and heavy rhythms. It's kinda fresh air for all the oldschool fans tonight.

DORO pays tribute to the late DIO by singing one of the jewels in the 'The Last In Line' (1984) album- 'Egypt (The Chains Are On)'.

Our friend Schmier of DESTRUCTION is watching the set from our mobile studio.

When TARJA went onstage it was alrerady dark. The lights, the long intro, the whole atmosphere made great impact and the audience went mad. They met her like a queen. It's useless to re-tell the concert. It's enough to mention 'Lost Northern Star' and 'I Walk Alone'.

There were 3 cover versions - ALICE COOPER's 'Poison', WHITESNAKE's 'Still Of The Night' and GARY MOORE's 'Over The Hills And Far Away'.

First of the encores was the new track 'In For A Kill' off her forthcoming second album. Then came the inevitable epic end. After that the crowd starts to leave the arena. Only about 1/3 still remain.

They have a mission and it's called ATROCITY. They take the stage 20 minutes after midnight and my God, they are brutal comparing to everything that happened earlier this evening. At least the first part of the set. Then it slowly started to change, when Liv Kristine joined his husband on stage. It happens during the 'Clash Of The Titans' and 'Todgeweihten'. Naturally it all ends with a cover version of 'Shout'.В
