Sofia's metal bar 'The Black Lodge' attacked with Molotov cocktail
08 November 2010A favourite spot for the capital's metal community, 'The Black Lodge' was attacked with a Molotov cocktail last Thursday (Nov 4) night, sometime around 11 p.m.
According to the 24 Hours daily newspaper, 22-year old Yavor K. tried to set fire to the venue, located on Stamboliiski blvd. by chucking a Molotov cocktail inside, during the club's "modern music" night.
"The bottle ignited inside the venue, which is adorned with swastikas, skulls and Satanic parphenalia and symbols," says the daily.
Luckily no one was injured and police arrived at the scene promptly. CCTV footage showed the culprit, who was then swiftly apprehended only a few blocks away from the club. He then admitted that his attack had been the result of a grudge he held against the venue's owner and proceeded to hand in his hat, gloves, a metal abton and two knives.
'The Black Lodge' first opened doors two years ago on this day - November 8, 2008.
