METALLICA: Pro-Shot Footage Of 'Call Of Duty: Black Ops' Launch-Party Performance
08 November 2010Official Metallica.com footage of METALLICA performing the song 'Harvester Of Sorrow' last Thursday night (November 4) in Hangar 8 at Santa Monica Airport, California at a party to promote the release of the new video game 'Call Of Duty: Black Ops' can be viewed below.
Regarding its participation at the event, the band previously said in a statement, "Our friends over at Activision, the fine folks who bring you the 'Guitar Hero' games, noticed a small hole in the METALLI-tour schedule in between Australian dates and rang us up to invite us to the launch of their next 'Call Of Duty' game . . . one thing led to another and next thing we know, we're playing at the party!!!"
The statement added that the event would raise funds for The Call of Duty Endowment, a non-profit organization that helps soldiers transition to civilian life and assists them in establishing jobs and careers.
