The rock legend bought the instrument second-hand for ВЈ15 in the mid-1960's.

Hendrix used the guitar to write a number of songs including 'All Along The Watchtower', reports DailyRecord.co.uk.

Back in 2008, a 1965 Fender Stratocaster that Hendrix set on fire during a gig at London Astoria in 1967 sold for ВЈ280,000.
