Blondie's Debbie Harry: 'I escaped serial killer Ted Bundy'
11 December 2010Blondie singer Debbie Harry has revealed that she once accepted a lift from notorious killer Ted Bundy.
The frontwoman said she got in his car in the early 1970s and sensed something was wrong when she saw the vehicle had no door handles on the inside.
"The hairs on the back of my neck just stood up, I pulled the door handle from the outside," she told The Sun.
She added: "He tried to stop me by spinning the car, but it helped me fling myself out. Afterwards I saw him on the news. Ted Bundy."
The singer didn't say where her encounter took place.
Bundy was executed in 1989 for murdering over 30 women during the early 1970s.
As previously reported, Blondie are set to release new album, 'Panic Of Girls', the follow-up to 2003's 'The Curse Of Blondie', next year.
