GORILLAZ deny Paul Simonon stroke reports
14 December 2010Gorillaz have said that news reports about bassist Paul Simonon being taken to hospital in Sydney and suffering from a stroke are incorrect.
Several Australian websites including Timeoutsydney.com reported that he had suffered a stroke yesterday (December 13).
Gorillaz' spokesperson told NME that the reports were false and Simonon was "fine".
Gorillaz are currently on tour in the country, with their next gig scheduled to take place on December 16 at the Sydney Entertainment Centre.
Simonon has been touring with the band alongside his former Clash bandmate Mick Jones on Gorillaz' 'Escape To Plastic Beach' world tour.
