STEVE VAI Shooting for World Record
07 February 2011Some people look to make it into the Guinness Book of Records by hopping on a pogo stick or stuffing college students into a VolkswagРµn.
Guitar deity Steve Vai has other plans. On March 3, Vai is looking to create the world’s largest online guitar lesson, through BerkleeMusic.com.
The one-time event is scheduled to run from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. EST.В (8:30 - 9:00 pm CET).В For every person who joins the online session, Berklee Music will donate $1 to the Steve Vai Online Scholarship Fund at Berklee Music.
“This online event, and the larger efforts Berklee Music is making to teach students around world, is a great example of the collaboration that happens at Berklee,” said Vai.
“Whether you're in Boston, Bombay or Brussels, we'll all be together on March 3rd.”
