Shortly after metal stalwarts Saxon thanked a bevy fans for turning up at a moment’s notice to sing on a track on the group’s new album, Call to Arms, singer Biff Byford posted a video message for fans.

In that message, he disclosed that the new album would feature, on multiple tracks, hard rock keyboard veteran Don Airey.

Airey has played with several headliners over the years, including Ozzy Osbourne, Rainbow, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath and the late Gary Moore. For the past nine years, he has been the keyboardist for Deep Purple, following the departure of band co-founder Jon Lord in 2002.

There is no word, at this time, about a release date for Call to Arms.
