Thunder are to release a live album next month.

Titled Thunder-Live- Rough & Ready, it will be put out as a double gatefold, four-CD pack.

It was recorded during two shows on the band’s 2005 The Magnificent Seventh tour. The first two CDs feature the whole set from Club Citta in Kawasaki, Japan on July 3, 2005. The third and fourth ones were recorded at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London on March 10, 2005.

The album will only be available from thunderonline.com and thunderonlineshop.co.uk

The band will be playing a one-off gig at the High Voltage Festival on July 24.

Says vocalist Danny Bowes of Thunder’s return less than two years after they split up:

“I can’t lie, I’ve missed singing and being in the band more than I thought I would over the past couple of years, so when High Voltage called last week, I was keen to explore it. We’re still releasing the new Rough & Ready live album, but there’s no plan to do any other recording going forwards. It will be great to play again, and we’re really excited”.
