One of the next features in music biographer Jake Brown’s 'In The Studio' series features metal legends Iron Maiden.

“Iron Maiden: In The Studio” will deliver the ‘stories behind every album’ in the band’s 30-year career, from the 1980 self-titled debut, through international breakout “Number Of The Beast,” and up to the 2010 offering, “The Final Frontier.”

“I wrote most of ‘Iron Maiden: in the Studio’ last month,” Brown posted to his blog in December. “That was interesting, as [the publishers] brought the project to me, but I jumped at the chance to write about such a titan of metal.”

Other books in Brown’s “In The Studio” series have featured biographies on Motorhead, AC/DC, Motley Crue, Heart and many others.

“Iron Maiden: In The Studio” will be available in May via John Blake Publishing.

The book is currently available for pre-order at Amazon.co.uk.

In the meantime, Iron Maiden have announced the support bands for their summer UK tour.

Airbourne will be the opening act on all shows outside of London, except for Belfast, where Dragonforce will support. In London, it’s Dragonforce on the first night, with Trivium doing the honours on the second night.

The tour is set to happen between 20 July and 6 August. IRON MAIDEN will play in Sofia- Bulgaria on 21 June.
