Check Out: MOBY – 'The Day'

On May 17th, Moby will release his 10th studio effort, Destroyed. Because we’re such rattled consumers, it seems that his recent Be The One EP couldn’t hold us over. You’d think three songs clocking in at 14 minutes would suffice, but no. (We’re not even counting his three supporting videos, either.)

Now, in support of the forthcoming LP, the eclectic multi-instrumentalist, who we sat down with at SXSW, has issued another single. Titled “The Day”, synths that sound like magic wands and closeted percussion expel something very Bowie-like, especially when Moby sings over the verses, and later insists he’ll “be right here.” Another promising track for what may be a killer follow up to 2009′s mesmerizing Wait For Me.

CHECK OUTВ 'THE DAY' BELOW:

Destroyed will hit streets May 17th (via Mute). Also, if you’re in NYC next month, be sure to check out his photo exhibit titled, “Destroyed: Photographys by Moby”, which will open at New York’s Clic Gallery and run from May 12th through June 26th.

MOBY will headline the Main stage ofВ the Spirit of Burgas 2011 festivalВ on 13 August.
