The recent KISS Live & Global chat event set a Guinness World Record.

The web chat on May 20 featured KISS founders Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley chatting with fans from around the world. The event set a record for “Most Nationalities in an Online Chat” – with people from 92 different countries speaking to the KISS guys in more than 50 languages.

“I’m thrilled to be a part of a Guinness World Record, especially one that brings together so many people from around the world,” Stanley said. “It was thrilling to be able to understand the comments from so many nationalities, and be able to conduct translated conversations in real-time.”

The chat was made possible by Ortsbo.com, which allowed the multiple languages to be instantaneously translated into English.

“This fun event showed we really do live in a global world, where language or distance cannot stop people from real engagement,” Simmons said.
