The Screaming Trees are to finally release what’s long been called their ‘lost album’.

This was recorded in 1998 and 1999 at Pearl Jam guitatist Stone Gossard’s home studio, and included guest appearances from Josh Homme and Peter Buck.

The band split up in 2000, and the album was never properly mixed or released. But now producer Jack Endino has fully mixed it, and Trees drummer Barret Martin intends to put it out under the title of Last Words: The Final Recordings. However, the Seattle grunge icons have no plans for any reunion.
