INSANE, the hottest band of the burgeoning Hungarian metal scene will be joining the impressive Spirit of Burgas bill this Summer.

INSANEВ are to play the JD Rock Arena on the festival's final day, August 14.В Also playing on the night are AMPLIFIER and Anneke van Giersbergen with her band.

INSANE were formed in 1999 and has gone through constant development and many changes. In 2009 the 10 year old band won the Fonogram award – the biggest Hungarian musical award, in the ‘Best hard rock/metal album of the year’ category for ‘Our Island – Our Empire’.

In August INSANE signed with UK based Life Burns Records. The most important event in 2010 was the endorsement contract the band signed at first hand amongst eastern European bands with Monster Energy Inc. At that time the band had been to 23 countries already. In December a new acoustic EP is going to be released.

As in previous years, bands on the JD Rock Arena are selected by Tangra Mega Rock radio, so expect an exciting and dead cool mix of local and foreign talent.
