For 24 hours exclusively on www.ChrisCornell.com, all proceeds from the donations generated in the song’s purchase will go directly to Sam Childer’s Angels of East Africa charity.

On Tuesday, August 30 the song will be available for sale on iTunes. The full soundtrack album is to be released on September 20. Machine Gun Preacher hits select US theatres on September 23.

Based on a true story, the movie is directed by Marc Forster (Finding Neverland, Monster’s Ball) and stars Gerard Butler as Sam Childers, a former drug-dealing criminal who finds faith leading him on a path to East Africa. Shocked by the mayhem in Sudan, Childers becomes a crusader for hundreds of refugee children fleeing death and enslavement. Check it out.
