GALLOWS Debut New Audio With New Vocalist Wade MacNeill
30 August 2011When news broke several weeks back that former Alexisonfire guitarist Wade MacNeill would be replacing Frank Carter as the new frontman for Gallows, some questions were raised as to how the noisy hardcore quintet would sound. While there are some similarities between MacNeill’s previous outfit (perhaps more so with his side-project Black Lungs), Carter’s hoarse growl and over the top persona doubtlessly left some large shoes for any successor to fill.
Any questions fans may have had as to what a MacNeill-fronted Gallows would sound like could be answered using a variety of adjectives, including “angry,” “angular,” and “abrasive.” You can hear for yourself by checking out “True Colours,” the first track the band has released with MacNeill on the mic, in the video posted below. It is also available via free download on the band’s website here.
