BERT JANSCH Dies
06 October 2011Bert Jansch has passed away at the age of 67 after a long fight against cancer.
Jansch is regarded as one of the most influential and important guitarists of all time. The likes of Jimmy Page, Mike Oldfield, Neil Young and Donovan have all cited him as being hugely influential.
A founding member of Pentangle, he was a major figure in the revival of folk music in the 1960s. He also worked both as a solo artist and with many others. His last solo album, Black Swan, came out in 2006.
