THE BLACK KEYS Announce New Album, Release Date
11 October 2011Just when it seemed that 2011 was set for its fair share of amazing albums, The Black Keys pull a fast one on us, and add another release to the list.
Since the excellent Brothers came out last year, it didn’t seem very likely that we’d see some new material from the band so soon. However, they just announced that their sixth LP, El Camino, comes out on December 6. The reveal was made via the “trailer” below.
Featuring Breaking Bad’s Bob Odenkirk and the FunnyOrDie! stamp, the 90s-styled advertising for used vans leads you to an appropriately retro website, which instead gives you a phone number to call about the van. Upon calling, a message from The Black Keys is heard.
Regardless of all that, we’re already forgetting that Blakroc 2 isn’t coming out anytime soon. We will provide more info on El Camino as it becomes available.
