30 SECONDS TO MARS set to enter Guinness Book Of World Records
19 October 201130 Seconds To Mars will enter the Guinness Book of World Records this December when they perform their 300th show in support of third album 'This Is War'.
The band, who have continued to allow speculation to swirl about their long term future with a series of ambiguous statements, will perform at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom on December 7 and at that show will confirmed as the new holders of the record for 'Most Shows Performed During A Single Album Cycle'.
The trio's frontman Jared Leto told MTV News that his band would be celebrating the accolade with a week of special shows beginning on December 5.
Leto said of the award:
"We have been on the road for an incredible and insane two years and thought what better way to celebrate the end of this phenomenal journey than with a week of special shows in New York City.
He continued:
"We thought documenting this for posterity with the 'Guinness Book of World Records' would be fun especially as we aren't any good at growing our fingernails very long or cultivating the world's largest squash."
