Metallica will headline the Download Festival in England next June.

According to BBC News, drummer Lars Ulrich broke the news to BBC Radio 1 DJ, Zane Lowe.

“In hard rock history, there’s no more sacred place to play than Donington. It’s the coolest,” he said.

Ulrich and cohorts will play 'The Black Album' in full, celebrating 21 years since its release. Next summer’s visit will be the eighth time Metallica have played at Donington.

Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. on Friday, November 18.
