JANE'S ADDICTION Go Burlesque on вЂUnderground’ Video
26 January 2012The band’s video for Underground, off their excellent 2011 album The Great Escape Artist, gives the song an alluringly dark dimension – due in no small part to the dim lighting and antique burlesque feel.
Shot in Los Angeles at the club Fais Do-Do, originally a speakeasy from the 1920’s with a New Orleans ambience, the clip shows the band performing while a cast of vaudevillian characters lurk around the dark, smoky setting.
The band joined forces with esteemed director Robert Hales for the video, an explicit version of which will debut at Playboy.com this Friday, January 27.
