Two classic AC/DC albums have reached new sales heights as of May 25, 2006, according to the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America).

The band's 1979 album, "Highway to Hell" — the last studio release to feature late frontman Bon Scott — has been certified septuple platinum for sales
in excess of seven million copies in the United States.
Meanwhile, 1990's "The Razor's Edge" has passed the five-million mark in the U.S., earning it quintuple-platinum status.

AC/DC's "Back in Black" album was certified last year for U.S. shipments of 21 million copies, tying it for fifth place with BILLY JOEL's "Greatest Hits Vol. 1 & II" on the Recording Industry Assn. of America's all-time
best-sellers list.

AC/DC are expected to begin recording their next studio album in the U.K. later in the year.
