California trio SMILE EMPTY SOUL recently signed with Bieler Bros. Records and will release its long-overdue second album, now titled "Vultures", on October 24.

A track called "Jesus Is The Manager at Wal-Mart" has been posted at the label's MySpace page.

SMILE EMPTY SOUL had initially titled its sophomore effort "Anxiety" and had set a September 2005 release date for it, back when the group was still signed to Atlantic Records, but that CD never materialized for unknown reasons, according to Launch Radio Networks.

"Vultures" will finally follow up SMILE EMPTY SOUL's 2003 self-titled debut, which was certified gold for sales of more than 500,000 copies.
The CD will contain 12 tracks, including "The Hit", "Here's to Another" and "Disease".

Bieler Bros. Records, an independent label based in Florida, is also the home of bands like NONPOINT and SKINDRED.
