Lights... Camera... SUICIDAL TENDENCIES!

On May 28, 2007 Suicidal Tendencies returned to Sofia's Hristo Boteb Hall. Seven years after the band's first ever show in that very same venue in Bulgaria, California's skate-punk-thrash-funk-core legends proved they're "still syco after all these years".

For about 90 minutes charismatic frontman Mike Muir andВ his guys made the audience jump, mosh and sing along all hits from the band's almost a quarter of a century long career. After the explosive start with "You Can't Bring Me Down"В off 1990'sВ "Lights... Camera... Revolution!", the never-getting-tired Syco Miko, guitarists Dean PleasantsВ and Mike Clark,В bass playerВ Steve Brunner and drummer Ron Brunner's replacement for this tourВ bombed the hall with ST evergreens like "War Inside My Head", "Ain't Gonna Take It", "I Saw Your Mommy..." and many more (view setlist below).

Regarding the warming up for the quintet's performance, we should pay deep respect to the local support - Last Hope. Sofia's hardcore leaders did their job perfectly, causing a furious moshpit in front of the stage right with their opening track, "Overcome" off their latest album "Test of Time" (2007). Alex, Chavo, RadiВ andВ Kosyo proved it once again - they're absolute pros!

As a whole, Suicidal TendenciesВ and Last Hope created an unforgettable atmosphere during the evening of May 28, despite the negative sides of the concert. Those were the 75-minute-long delay of the start of the show, the quite poor sound quality, and most of all the lack of enough people in the audience. Less than 800 fans is simply insulting for a performance by a band like ST...

But anyway, the concert was definitely worth visiting. Those who attended it shall remember it for a long time. The rest could do nothing but regret.
