JACK BRUCE In Supergroup
24 February 2012Jack Bruce has teamed up with Vernon Reid in a new supergroup.
It’s called SPECTRUM ROAD, with the one-time Cream bassist/vocalist and the LIVING COLOUR guitarist joined by drummer CINDY BLACKMAN SANTANA (Lenny Kravitz, Santana) and jazz keyboard player JOHN MEDESKI.
Their self-titled, debut album is due out in the States through Palmetto Records on June 5, and they’ll spend the summer on tour around America.
Reid says of the band:
“To be able to play and record in this band alongside three of the most creative and stellar musicians in the world is a longtime dream come true.
The idea for SPECTRUM ROAD first came about in 2001 and it was the ongoing belief in the kind of record we knew we could make together that made it come to fruition.”
