Sure, Motörhead leader Lemmy Kilmister has collaborated with a long list of rock stars, from Dave Grohl to Billy Gibbons.

But, ask Mr. Kilmister, and he’ll tell you there are still a slew of peeps with whom he’s itching to lay down tracks.

Janet Jackson,” Kilmister told SF Weekly, laughing, when asked whom he’d like to work with down the road.

I don’t know. There are a lot of people out there who are great players. It’s just whether the spark arrives. Whether somebody wants to do it and I’ve got some free time…”

Kilmister then dropped a bombshell: He’s working on a solo album! The set, thus far, totes tracks with Grohl, Reverend Horton Heat and others.

I’m three quarters of the way though a solo album right now,” he said.

“I’ve got two tracks with the Damned, two tracks with [German hard-rock band] Skew Siskin, one with Joan Jett, one with Grohl and two with the Reverend Horton Heat.

So I’ve got quite a mixed bag on there. I’m trying to get one with Skin from Skunk Anansie.”
