TOMAHAWK Prepping New LP
24 February 2012Ever since FAITH NO MORE reunited three years ago, several of Mike Patton’s “side” projects have remained mostly dormant.
Among the most notable absences is TOMAHAWK, his group with ex-Jesus Lizard guitarist Duane Deninson, ex-Helmet drummer John Stanier, and, as-of-recently, ex-Mr. Bungle bassist Trevor Dunn.
Thankfully, the band’s hiatus is finally coming to an end, as a new album has been confirmed, along with a few re-releases.
Upon starting a Facebook page last November, TOMAHAWK already hinted at the possibility of recording new music. Now comes the official announcement that the band’s first three records on vinyl, for Record Store Day.
The special package, appropriately titled Eponymous to Anonymous, will include their self-titled debut Tomahawk (2001), their sophomore Mit Gas (2003), and their last LP Anonymous (2007).
