TOTO Sue Label
29 February 2012TOTO are the latest band to sue a label over digital royalty payments.
The band are taking action against Sony, claiming they are being underpaid.
This arises out of a dispute as to how digital royalties should be calculated on the basis of it being licensing revenue, whereas the label believe it should be regarded as part of record sales.
Naturally, the latter gives the band a smaller income than the former.
