Previously unreleased JANIS JOPLIN recordings are about to see the light of day.

These will come as part of a special edition of her iconic 1971 Pearl album.

Called Janis Joplin: The Pearl Sessions, this will have the original mono version, plus outtakes, alternative versions, demos and vocal takes, and is released on April 13.

Not only will this be available on CD, but there will also be a limited edition double 10” vinyl version; the latter is out on April 21, which is Record Store Day.

There will also be a limited edition 12” version with classic artwork, and this will be available from www.officialjanis.com.
