GUNS N’ ROSES will NOT perform at Rock Hall induction
09 March 2012Paul Shaffer has some bad news for GUNS N’ ROSES fans: the group will not be performing at their upcoming induction into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame next month in Cleveland.
Outside of his day job as bandleader for the David Letterman show, Shaffer has also been the musical director for the Hall Of Fame induction ceremony since its inception in 1986.
Paul spilled the GNR news when he was asked on Twitter if he had any idea how long the Rock Hall ceremony was going to be this year with so many inductees; “Guns N’ Roses will not be performing, so not as long as you would think," was Shaffer’s reply.
A segment of GNR fans have been holding out hope that the original lineup of the band would put aside their differences for one evening and reunite live on stage at the April 14 event.
Based on Shaffer’s comments, it doesn’t sound like that’s going to happen.
