KING'S X's Live Album To Aid Stricken Drummer
12 March 2012KING'S X are currently offering a special live MP3 download from their archives.
This is to help pay drummer Jerry Gaskill’s medical expenses following his recent heart attack.
It’s called Burning Down Boston: Live At The Channel 6.12.91.
This has been edited and mastered from a front of house recording of the band. This is an 89-minute, 14-song live recording made on the tour promoting the album Faith Hope Love.
A few songs have been omitted due to tape damage, but three extra tracks have been added from the show. You can get the download for free by making a $20 donation to Gaskill. Order a copy here.
In addition a fund has now been set up, and people can send cheques to Jerry Gaskill, c/o World Entertainment Inc., P.O. Box 3095, Sea Bright, NJ 07760. Make cheques payable to ‘Jerry Gaskill’.
Updating everyone on the drummer’s current condition, Doug Pinnick says on Facebook:
”Saw Jerry and he smiled and gave the thumbs up. He seemed to recognize everyone and seems on it. Really cool. He is having some difficulty with the breathing, but overall looks sharp.
Feel much better about this. Very excited. Just want to share that with you guys. Julie [Jerry's fiancée] is amazing.”
