LARS ULRICH Gets Major Film Role
19 March 2012Metallica’s LARS ULRICH is to play a Dutch documentary film-maker in a new TV movie.
The drummer has the role of Joris Ivens in HBO’s Hemingway & Gellhorn, which tells the story of the romance between celebrated author Ernest Hemingway and journalist/writer Martha Gellhorn, who was the inspiration for the former’s classic novel For Whom The Bell Tolls.
The movie stars Clive Owen and Nicole Kidman.
This is Ulrich’s first substantial film role, although he did have a cameo appearance as himself in the 2010 movie Get Him To The Greek.
