KILLERS saxophonist commits suicide
27 April 2012Tommy Marth, touring saxophone player and frequent collaborator with THE KILLERS, has died aged 33.
Marth was found dead at his home in Las Vegas on Monday (April 23). His death has now been confirmed as suicide by local coroners.
Marth played on THE KILLERS' 2006 second album 'Sam's Town' and its follow-up, 2008's 'Day Age'.
He also toured with the band extensively and features in the live line-up on the group's 2009 DVD Live from the Royal Albert Hall.
THE KILLERS have paid tribute to Marth, writing on Twitter:
"Last night we lost our friend Thomas Marth. Our prayers are with his family. There’s a light missing in Las Vegas tonight. Travel well, Tommy."
