According to various news sources, Adam Yauch (best known by his stage name of MCA) has passed away.

Back in 2009, The Beastie Boys cancelled their summer tour plans when Yauch was diagnosed with cancer in the parotid gland and lymph node.

It had been rumored that Yauch’s health had taken a turn for the worse when he did not appear last month with the Beastie Boys as they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
