METALLICA bassist Robert Trujillo is financing a documentary about late jazz bass great Jaco Pastorius.

It's to be called 'Jaco' and directed by Stephen Kijak.

Among those taking part are Flea, Sting and Carlos Santana.
 
Pastorius, who was a drug addict and bipolar, died in 1986 at the age of 35 after being beaten up in a Fort Lauderdale bar.
