Ahead of the August 27 release of his new studio album Nothin But Love, Robert Cray is streaming the first single to be taken from it, (Won’t Be) Coming Home.

Nothin But Love is out on August 27 via Provogue Records – and besides the stream of (Won’t Be) Coming Home we’ve got a video preview about the making of Cray’s album.

Our clip features in-studio footage, previews of tracks from the record, and interviews with Robert Cray, producer Kevin Shirley and Cray band members Jim Pugh, Richard Cousins and Tony Braunagel.

Produced with what Shirley refers to as “the dirt under the fingernails,” Nothin But Love was recorded live over two weeks at the Revolver Studios in Los Angeles.

The album also includes the jazz chops of I’ll Always Remember You, the soul-drenched ode to repossession that is Great Big Old House and the frantic 50s-flavoured rocker Side Dish.
