According to the August 30th issue of Rolling Stone (via Blabbermouth.net), SOUNDGARDEN will release their as-yet untitled new album on November 13th, their first studio release since 1996′s Down on the Upside.

Blabbermouth reports that the print issue of Rolling Stone features an interview with guitarist Kim Thayil who says the new album “re-establishes that we still rock, we’re still heavy, and we’re still a little weird.”

Two songs set to appear are 'Blood On The Valley Floor' and 'A Thousand Days Before', the latter of which Thayil describes as “a little Indian thing and some chicken-pickin’. We call it ‘country and eastern.’”

Since their reunion in 2010, SOUNDGARDEN have teased this new album, having released 'Live To Rise' for The Avengers soundtrack earlier this year.
