ANATHEMA will play in Saturday at the Roman theater in Plovdiv with the symphonic orchestra.

And here's the message we got from the band:

ONCE IN A LIFETIME CHANCE FOR BULGARIAN FANS TO BE PART OF ANATHEMA’S FIRST BLURAY RECORDING:

On 22nd September the Ancient Roman Theatre in Plovdiv (Bulgaria) will host a truly special concert. The ruins of this spectacular building will provide a magical backdrop when Anathema take to the stage to perform their show alongside the string players of the Plovdiv Philharmonic Orchestra. After weeks of speculation we can now reveal that this unique concert will be recorded live and released on bluray in 2013 by Kscope.

Speaking about the show, Daniel Cavanagh said that "recording a definitive Anathema DVD in Bulgaria, among some of the best fans in the world, has been on our agenda for some years. The fact that it's in this amazing location with an orchestral performance is surely a recipe for something special."

Fresh from winning the award for Best Live Performance at the UK Classic Rock Presents Prog Awards last month, Anathema have designed a stunning production for this show and you can expect to see a breathtaking performance of Anathema songs, new and old.

Anathema fans are travelling from far and wide for this show and flights to Sofia have seen a boom in recent weeks! A limited number of tickets still remain for this opportunity so to buy your ticket and be part of this one-off experience, go to http://web.ticketstream.cz/bgts/.
