SCORPIONS drummer James Kottak has called his ex-wife an alcoholic in court papers as he fights an order to pay $3200 a month in support for her and their son.

Athena Lee, younger sister of Motley Crue drummer Tommy, split with Kottak in 2010 after a 14-year marriage.

In July a court gave her primary custody of the 15-year-old boy and told Kottak to pay $1466 per month in child support plus $1738 in spousal support, noting his income of $12,000 per month.

He says the child has been living with him full-time since January, and Lee’s drinking makes it impossible for her to look after him. The drummer also alleges that she’s capable of earning $80,000 a year as a surgical nurse.

Kottak has asked for the July ruling to be changed, cutting his monthly payments and awarding him primary custody, adding that his income isn’t guaranteed because his contract with the Scorpions has not been renewed.

But Lee insists she stopped drinking in January and only lets her son live with Kottak so he won’t have to change schools.

She tells TMZ: “He’s trying everything he can to knock me down. It’s only about the money to James.”

Lee appears in a reality TV series called Ex Wives of Rock, which follows the lives of women who were married to members of the Scorpions, Warrant and Motley Crue.

In the show she said: “Marrying a musician is not a bad idea – it’s the worst idea ever.” Later she states: “I’m going to bang somebody in this dress if it’s the last thing I do.”

A court ruling will follow.
