BABYSHAMBLES bassist Drew McConnell is set to release a solo album.

McConnell announced the news on his Tumblr page, stating that he will put out a new song every two weeks, and then release an album when all 12 tracks have been aired. He wrote:

"A little while ago, whilst in self-imposed exile on a small volcanic island, I wrote and recorded a clutch of songs.

Well, the plan is to put one of these songs out every 2 weeks (via Bandcamp) starting from November 10, and to release a physical record when we reach 12 tunes."

He added: "My friend Barney Bodoano from the band Cat Meat will be doing artwork for each song and, ultimately, the album."

He said that he will be posting things related to the songs, like "what they're about, where they're from" at drewhelsinki.tumblr.com, and finished up by writing: "Pretty excited to be starting a new project. Here goes something."
