THE BLACK CROWES will close out a short hiatus in 2013 with a world tour, dubbed the 'Lay Down with Number 13' trek, as well as a new live release, 'Wiser For the Time.'

The rock group, which has been silent since 2010, has plotted the first leg of the comeback run, beginning Mar. 24, 2013 in Manchester, U.K. and heading to North America on April 2. Band members Chris Robinson, Rich Robinson, Steve Gorman, Sven Pipien and Adam Macdougall will be joined by Jackie Greene on guitar and vocals.

Meanwhile, 'Wiser For The Time' will be released on vinyl and digitally the week prior to the tour kickoff, on Mar. 19 through Silver Arrow/Megaforce Records.

The 26-song collection comes from the five-night residency the Crowes performed at New York's Best Buy Theatre in late 2010, and the digital version will include three unreleased versions of songs.

The Georgia rock group's most recent album, 'Croweology,' has sold 91,000 copies since its August 2010 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

"It might be 18 months, it might be two years, it might be five -- I don't know," Chris Robinson told Billboard in summer 2010 of the Black Crowes' hiatus, which began after the group's 20th anniversary celebration.

"We'll get back together when we feel it's right. There's no end or beginning; it's, 'Let's just do some other stuff for a while, and we'll get back together when we feel it's right."
