TODD RUNDGREN will release his 24th studio album, State, on April 8 – and follow the launch with seven UK shows in June.

The record is described as “a fusion of rock, soul, R&B and electronica that is at once danceable, groundbreaking, spiritual, challenging and infectious.”

The experimental musician and producer celebrates his 65th birthday in 2013, and he’ll mark it with a new edition of his annual summer camp, to be called Toddstock v6.5, which takes place near New Orleans on June 17-22.

State will be released by Esoteric Antenna via Cherry Red. Concert tickets go on sale at 10am today (February 11) via www.ticketweb.co.uk.
