PUDDLE OF MUDD frontman Wes Scantlin was arrested in Los Angeles on Monday afternoon on domestic violence charges, according to gossip site TMZ.

The site reports that Scantlin allegedly "roughed up his ex-wife in front of several witnesses," and that police told them that they were called out to a business in West Hollywood around 3:30 pm Monday to investigate a report that the singer shook his ex-wife and then tried to drag her by the arm or the shirt.

The deputies reportedly spoke with witnesses and the victim and then decided to arrest Scantlin for domestic violence and he was reportedly extremely uncooperative during the arrest.

One source told the site that Scantlin "was very mouthy."
