MEGADETH have released new track Kingmaker.

It’s taken from the thrash giants’ upcoming album Super Collider, which is released on June 3.

Mainman Dave Mustaine recently explained the song is about the problems he sees across the US as a result of people becoming addicted to prescription medication.

He told Hard Radio (via Blabbermouth):
 
“People’s lives are falling apart and they just take pills. I can help educate a lot of our fans, especially the younger ones, that it’s not glamorous as you think to go down that path of drugging yourself up and not facing reality.”

Mustaine admitted he was speaking from experience, as a former recreational drug user and as someone who became addicted to the medication he took for his 2011 back problems.

He said: “Part of what Kingmaker means to me is that I am able to look back now on this whole episode of my life, being a slave to Big Pharma. You have no idea what a pain in the ass it was."
