On September 12, 2006, Escapi Music — home to BODY COUNT, DIRTY RIG, WARRIOR SOUL, CACTUS, MAHAVATAR, DISSECTION and THE CARMINE APPICE PROJECT — will release the debut recording of KOTTAK (formerly KRUNK), entitled "therupy".

Fronted by singer/songwriter/guitarist Jimmy Ratchitt, who, in another life, as James Kottak, drummed for KINGDOM COME and, for the last 10 years, Germany's prime hard rockers SCORPIONS, KOTTAK also boasts another major player in Athena. So while Jimmy pounds out the power chords and screams his lungs out, Athena, sister to Tommy Lee, bangs away on the drums. With bassist Rev Jones (MSG) and guitarist Dave Whiston adding to the cacophony, KOTTAK is ready to rock.

The album boasts 12 tracks of high-energy riffage: 10 originals — including "Ripped", "High (In My Little Room)" and "Song That Won't Go Away" — written by Ratchitt/Athena/Whiston, and two covers: SCORPIONS' "Holiday" and CYNDI LAUPER's "Money Changes Everything".
