Directed and produced by Dave Robinson, the head of MADNESS' original label Stiff Records, the film will be repackaged as a DVD and audio CD of the soundtrack, which has never been officially released. It will be available from October 7.
Set in Camden Town, the film depicts the group's rise from their beginnings as a pub band to their first bits of fame and the highs and lows that marked that journey. It also gives a glimpse at the workings of the music industry of the 1980s from the perspective of a new band.
The soundtrack features singles, b-sides and album tracks from MADNESS' early days, including 'Baggy Trousers' and 'One Step Beyond'. Two tracks from Fats Domino and The Four Tops also feature in the movie.
