It’s been a while since we heard anything from THE DEAD WEATHER.

JACK WHITE spent much of the past year and a half promoting his stellar debut album Blunderbuss, which of course put the rest of his various projects on the back burner.

Yesterday morning, however, WHITE’s Third Man Records revealed via Twitter  that he and the DEAD WEATHER are currently in the studio working on new music.

Last month, we got wind of the fact that JACK was going to start working on more DEAD WEATHER and RACONTEURS material, so this latest update basically confirms that it’s actually begun.

THE DEAD WEATHER’s last album was 2010′s Sea Of Cowards, which we thought was pretty solid.

With his Blunderbuss promotion cycle out of the way, here’s hoping WHITE can channel some more of the eccentric beauty that went in to the DEAD WEATHER’s two prior albums…
