LINKIN PARK is prepping the release of a free Facebook game called LP Recharge.

The game's players battle to establish clean, sustainable energy on a planet where all natural resources have been taken over by an elite class.

Players join cooperatively to battle their captors and recharge the world with clean energy.

LINKIN PARK recorded a new song, 'A Light that Never Comes,' which gamers can unlock by playing LP Recharge.

The game hits on September 12.

Early registration is taking place now at Linkin Park's Facebook page.

Sustainable energy is an important issue for LINKIN PARK, which launched Music for Relief, a non profit charity, dedicated to helping people affected by natural disasters and supports environmental and clean energy projects.
