MARK LANEGAN - New Music Video available
27 September 2013Las Vegas is a scary, seedy, depressing place (as any of a number of films can tell you).
MARK LANEGAN‘s new music video for his version of the John Cale classic I’m Not the Loving Kind continues that theme, as it features an old man with a strong resemblance to Sam Elliott (a.k.a. ‘The Stranger’ from The Big Lewbowki) dealing with a handful of Vegas-based scenes: an unorthodox wedding ceremony, street performers, a prostitute, and other such happenings.
Here’s the video:
LANEGAN’s new standards album, Imitations, was released recently and also features takes on songs originally recorded by Frank Sinatra, Patsy Cline, Bobby Darin, Hall & Oates, and more.
LANEGAN will hit the road for a short tour coming up in October, and he’s a featured guest on MOBY’s new record Innocents, which you can stream here.
