BOSTON to release new album this fall
08 October 2013MIA rockers BOSTON are set to release a new album, 'Life, Love & Hope', on December 3.
The band’s sixth album is the first release since 2002’s 'Corporate America.'
Music Tap reports there’s few details about the new record, except that it will not feature vocals from the band’s late singer, Brad Delp.
That news is dramatically different from the band’s summer 2011 update, where the group advised fans, "The lead vocals for Boston's soon to be released studio album include Brad Delp's singing on many songs, along with several excellent performances by our other three lead vocalists.
The album reflects an intentional effort by principal songwriter and producer Tom Scholz to capture the recognizable sound and energy of his original releases, combined with the musical sophistication expected from exceptional players and vocalists all performing within the traditional framework of the well known Boston sound."
In 2011, singer Michael Sweet left the group to return to Stryper, as singer Tommy DeCarlo maintained lead vocals for BOSTON on the road.
The 2013 edition of BOSTON features leader/guitarist Tom Scholz, guitarists Gary Pihl and David Victor, singer Tommy DeCarlo, bassist Tracy Ferrie and drummer Curly Smith.
